A beautiful hotel in a quite spot on the old castle property. Gogreous little port and incredible beaches. And, it was clearly off season and the people of the community seemed pretty closed. Then you see below is the kind of graffiti found all over Basque country and particularly in these small Basque communities.
In San Sebastian there was quite a bit of graffiti tourists to go home. If you ask about it, people will tell you they can't afford to live in their own towns anymore because of tourism and people driving costs of houseing up. Sounds familiar.

There was a festival of a saint that morning. It was great fun to watch the parade of giant puppets, and the untethered gangs of kids of all ages roaming the streets there night and day.
